    The University of Michigan Law School is looking for a customer service-oriented, collaborative individual to join our finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position is primarily responsible for providing support related to account reconciliation, journal entries, reporting, and research grant and gift administration. The successful incumbent will work directly with faculty, staff, and students.

    Responsibilities*
    Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
    Reconcile general ledger accounts
    Identify and correct charging errors and create journal entries
    Respond to internal and external financial and grant related inquiries
    Participate in monthly and year end closing processes
    Assist with hiring of and timekeeping for temporary staff and research assistants
    Assist finance team with additional duties as assigned.
    Required Qualifications*
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    At least two years experience in a related field
    Demonstrated ability to be efficient without sacrificing accuracy
    Ability to prioritize competing demands while meeting deadlines and adhering to processes
    Ability to work well both as part of a team and autonomously
    Proficiency with current computer technology and applications, including Microsoft Office tools
    Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
