  • The Counseling Center The Counseling Center is open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our professional staff offers a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment. For more information, or to make a free appointment, contact us at (814) 332-4368, or stop by our office in Room 304 in Reis Hall. In case of an emergency not during these hours, please contact Campus Security at (814) 332-3357. The Counseling Center offers individual counseling for a variety of personal, academic and career-related issues. Individual counseling sessions are limited per student per semester. Generally, students who require longer or specialized care will be referred off campus and provided assistance with obtaining appropriate treatment, which will be coordinated by a student's personal physician or off-campus mental health service provider. The Center also occasionally provides group counseling and workshops on various issues such as perfectionism, eating disorders awareness, relaxation training, transitions, self-esteem, and anxiety and depressive illnesses management. Other resources and services include tapes, consultation, crisis intervention, off-campus referral, residence hall outreach and self-help materials.
